Short story
Emka Lakes was the new rookie Formula 1 driver for Scuderia Ferrari in 1988. He
showed amazing performance during winter testing, he showed huge potential to win this year’s formula one drivers world championship. The first race takes place at the brazil GP aka Interlagos . The hungry Brazilian Aryton Senna so close to winning last years drivers championship. Hecame up short to fellow Brazilian Nelson piquet. Emka got in his shiny metallic red Ferrari and started the engine the loud crackles echoed through the paddock and he rolled onto the damp race track. Breathing deeply Emka started to push through the corners flying by the timing booth he didn’t set anything to fast. Determined to set pole he pushed the Accelerator into the metal floor board almost breaking it. Hitting the last set of corners at peak speeds driving as fast as he can he sees something that could jeopardize his time a yellow flag Emka fly’s by the accident in almost a blur setting the fastest lap. The stewards say nothing about it and Emka sets pole position. The first qualifying session of the year and Scuderia Ferrari takes pole position. This is a great result for Lakes so well in his very first qualifying session. One day later Lakes hits the track going to that front spot. Pushing the clutch in and popping the car from neutral to first. All the adrenalin building up and Lakes putting all the possibilities of problems in his head, rolling up to his spot. pitched wine of the 6 cylinder turbo flying into the corkscrew shaped corner. Lake flying
through the laps like its nothing but gets notified on the radio that he needs new tires the
rained had died down and the track was slowly drying with only 32 laps to go. Lake fly’s into
the pits with fury to get out but soon saw Alain following him. He pulls in and the back right
wheel nut is jammed and they need to get it fixed quick before Prost overtakes him in the pits.
Lakes pulls out but Prost got the better stop and he pulled out with only 1 car length between
them Lakes lost the race he was thinking. But shortly sees a opening to take the lead on the
last lap and lakes takes it but his front wing gets crushed by Prosts front tire it was a very
difficult sight to see so close to winning at brazil but just short 50 seconds ahead of third Lakes
comes in second. A month later the San marino grand prix went in to motion lakes finished
fifth puts him2nd in the drivers world championship. 10 races later Lakes is creating a amazing
season for the team at Ferrari and today its practice after a short 3 week break before
attending the most important race of the season there home race in Italy. The tracks name is
Monza the 1.4 mile track holds a lot of deaths one of the most dangerous tracks on the season
calendar. Before lakes went to drive on the track he prayed. The car started and went to drive
on the track and Lakes had a difficult time putting a time on the board due to how cold the
track was and the danger of pushing it to the limit. Lakes went on to qualify top 5 looking like
another podium Emka pulls up to the 4th spot and the flag goes up lakes reflects on the whole
season in his head the flag drops. It’s like everyone’s cars clutch stuck.”Emka Lakes takes the
lead at Monza it’s the best start he has ever done what race we have here”. Lake’s held the
lead and hears the same messages from Brazil pit in your tires are scratched. Lakes replied with
a “No”. The team was not pleased with this response. After killing his tires using every inch of
rubber on them he pulls in the pit with a comfortable 30 second lead after taking that pit it
went down to 4 seconds and there was only 3 laps left and he’s flying around Monza setting
faster and faster laps. Lakes flying around the last corner winning the Italian grand prix with
Ferrari the home grand prix won what a great race. Emka raced his heart out to win this title on
his debut season what a show. Emka Lakes of scuderia Ferrari showed it dosent matter what
age or how experienced you are to win a formula one grand prix.
